Formed in New York City in the early 1990s, Merauder emerged from the city’s hardcore underground with a sound that was heavier, darker, and more metallic than most of their contemporaries. Rather than adapting to trends, the band set new ones: bridging hardcore, groove metal, and extreme aggression into a style that would influence countless artists worldwide.
